One of my favorite memories of my dad was...
Mom told me of a time she had gone shopping and was trying on her clothes for Daddy to see... now anyone who knows my dad understands Daddy could read a book watch TV and listen to the radio without missing a beat... so there was Momma walking into the family room as Dad was reading and watching TV in one of her new outfits... she'd ask Daddy... "Honey you like it?" ... Dad would look up over the edge of the book and say... "yea Clara"... so Mom would go off to her room and try on another outfit... come back to show dad and the same conversation would go on... "you like it?'... "yea Clara"... well on the last outfit mom tried on she asked again... "Honey you like it?"... dad said... "yea Clara"... she said .... "oh I can wear it to church on Sunday?"... dad replied...
"yea as long as you dont sit next to me" ... 
hence another example of my Daddy's sense of humor...
